Saand Ki Aankh Creates Huge Waves Before Its Release!

Chosen as the closing film at the prestigious  Jio MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival
Also showcased at the 3rd Pingyao Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon International Film Festival.


Director Tushar Hiranandani’s upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh is making waves and receiving fabulous appreciation. The film is based on the incredible lives of India’s oldest sharpshooters, Prakashi and Chandro Tomar and will release on the auspicious occasion of Diwali worldwide.

The film is creating the right kind of buzz and has been chosen as the Closing Film at the prestigious Jio MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival with Star. MAMI showcases some of the best cinemas from around the world, only goes to suggest the incredible content Saand ki Aankh stands for.

Here's what Anupama Chopra, Festival Director, MAMI  said, “We are thrilled to close the 21st edition of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star with Saand Ki Aankh. The film has something for everyone – it's based on a true story and it’s moving, humorous and empowering.”

What adds more strength to the film is the fact that it’s not being talked about only in India but Internationally too, Saand Ki Aankh is creating waves.  The film was screened at the Pingyao Night at the prestigious 3rd Pingyao Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon International Film Festival. The upcoming inspirational sports drama was the only mainstream Bollywood film to be screened at the festival that was held in Shanxi.

Here's what Marco Müller, Artistic Director of the festival, had to say on the film, "With his debut film, Tushar Hiranandani hits the bulls-eye! I have seen in recent years only a handful of Bollywood movies that can boast such an intelligent blend of entertainment and realism, comedy and cutting edge social criticism. Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar are exceptional in Saand Ki Aankh. The film will confirm their star status in China too and I can predict a huge Box Office success for it in the Chinese market."

Talking about this, director Tushar says, “When the film gets this kind of response from such prestigious platform and honourable people, it gives a great boost to the entire team. I am positive that the audience will also love the film.”
